SYBERIA REMASTERED  is a point-and-click adventure game, remastered from the original 2002 game. In addition to a PC and console version, there will also be a VR version.

 

I was hired by Microids Studio Paris to assist Studio Virtuallyz as a CUTSCENE ARTIST, a role that was completely new to me, even though it resembled one of my tasks on the second installment of ASTERIX & OBELIX: SLAP THEM ALL! 

 

During this short three-month assignment, I was responsible for designing over a hundred new cutscenes. I also improved and finished over a hundred others.

 

I went through all the stages of creating these cutscenes, from integrating all the character and object animations and different camera shots with their framing and movement, to managing the rhythm of the cutscenes, adding voiceovers in the game's seven languages, and managing lip-syncing and eye contact between characters.

 

All of this was tested, debugged, and polished in the short time we had available, in the seven different languages, and as efficiently as possible.

 

 

Thanks to this assignment, I was able to add another string to my bow, which now looks more like a harp than a bow (made possible by the wide range of skills I have acquired over the years through professional and personal projects).

 

This is, I think, to my advantage and gives me additional perspective for my work as a level designer, as I am also in contact with the cutscene artist!
